Listen to 702 DZAS Kaliwanagan Kay Kristo (a segment of Tanglaw sa Landas ng Buhay of Back to the Bible Philippiness) every Tuesday and Thursday 7:00PM.
The passage goes --
- See my hands and my feet, that it is I myself. Touch me, and see. For a spirit does not have flesh and bones as you see that I have.”
This force of this argument comes from John 4:24 "God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”
I do not acknowledge such a divine nature in Christ; for this were repugnant to both reason and to the Holy Scripture . . . by nature [Jesus] was truly a man; a mortal man while he lived on earth . . . which deprives him of the divine nature.” (pp 55-57)
So how do we respond sa support na si Jesus ay may buto't balat?
Subalit kailangan nating patuloy i-emphasize na sa paniniwalang Kristiyano, ang person of Christ is consisted by a human and divine nature. This has been the long-standing position ng Christianity noon pa man and it
Ang mga biblical justification po dito we have discussed in the past episodes zeroing in on the Christian doctrine of the “hypostatic union” na mariing pinaliwanag sa atin ng Chalcedonian creed na dapat daw nating --
Ang pagkaunawa po natin sa mechanism na yan sa hypostatic union ay may mga certain judgments ang Panginoon to curtail or paikliin ang kanyang kakayahan bilang Diyos to pursue a redemptive plan for the saving of His people. Sa kanyang kakayahan, kaya niyang durugin ang batang ito sa kanyang kamay subalit he constrained himself to do that.
In a very simplistic way, that is how I think I would illustrate yung mechanism ng hypostatic union that teaches the divine nature of the Son of God and the human nature of His incarnation consist in that one Person of Jesus. So dyan pa natin mauunawaan ang pagmamahal ng Diyos sa Kaniyang willingness to curtail His power, dwell in an earthly body and simply be dependent upon the power of the Will of the Father concerning His life, strength and many more.
Patuloy pa rin natin ngayong pinaniniwalaan that,
- A nature is that which makes something what it is, those attributes that define it. For example, the divine nature is marked by divine attributes such as omniscience, omnipotence, omnipresence, self-existence, eternity, and so on. To have a divine nature is to possess all the attributes that make God who He is. Thus, when we say that Jesus has a divine nature, we are saying that He possesses every attribute that God possesses in His divine nature. He is truly God. Christ’s possession of the divine nature is taught directly in passages such as John 1:1–18. We can also look to episodes in our Lord’s life that reveal His divine nature to us. In today’s passage, for example, Jesus creates life, raising a young girl from the dead, simply by commanding her to live (Mark 5:21–43). That is something only God can do, for He created life by speaking it into existence (Gen. 1). Another passage that reveals Jesus’ possession of the divine nature is John 1:43–51. Here we see evidence of omniscience, as Jesus tells Nathanael that he was sitting under a fig tree before our Lord encountered him.
